REXBURG - With the recession many BYU-Idaho students are taking their talents and trying to make their own job to make some money.

"You can't just wait for a job to come to you. You can't just assume there's going to be the normal 8 to 5 job. You have to actually create your own opportunities," said Brittany Munk, who is about to open Brittany Rae's Boutique.

Opportunities to team up with a handful of stay at home moms who also need an extra buck. Many of the items in the store will be locally hand made.

"With the recession, our  husband's are having to try harder to find a job, if they haven't been able to, the wifes have  been able to take their talents and  make money from them," said Munk.

With many businesses closing up shop, I asked Brittany how she planned to make it where others had failed.

"I talked to so many other small businesses, people who went out of business and asked them what went wrong? I just make sure I don't do that. That's why I'm starting off small, and waited a year. I researched out the area. You have to be bold, you have to be bold with your dreams or nothing will ever happen," said Munk.

About bPriceless

bPriceless started in May of 2009 by Brittany Munk. She loved fashion and the latest trends, but wanted to find a way to get the same looks for less. So she started bPriceless to help women like her find great outfits for a great price. bPriceless is named because Brittany wanted to find styles that were unqiue and "priceless" but would still be inexpensive and priceLESS. Items include modest women's tops, sweaters, accessories, shoes, handbags, skirts, shorts, and more. She started promoting bPriceless at community events in Rexburg and eventually started doing house parties in Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah. Now she is currently living in Idaho Falls, Idaho and sells items all over the country. If you have any questions or comments please e-mail Brittany at brittanymunk@gmail.com or call 208.346.0549.
